Saying yes to a date...

So... if I hadn't said "yes" to going on that weekend getaway my ex wouldn't have seen my annoying ass on that plane, and if I hadn't said "yes" to the date I wouldn't have fallen in love, and if I hadn't said "yes" when he returned I wouldn't have experienced a love like that or a heartbreak like that; and I wouldn't have learnt the lesson that love and the best intentions are sometimes not enough; and I wouldn't have known my value and loveability unless it had been reflected in his eyes; and I wouldn't have regained my sexual confidence which led to; and I wouldn't have had the opportunity to be as emotionally vulnerable with my friends; and I wouldn't have gained the level of insight or differentiation of other people that I'm currently working through; and I wouldn't have been at this university pondering these things

It always starts with "hi"

Saying "hi" to someone is kind of the first step to opening up for a new acquaintance. Doesn't have to mean you're best friends or anything, but... suddenly you can say "hi" again... or they might have a tip for the exam... or you have someone to ask about the assignment you don't understand... or maybe they could inspire you in some way... or tell you about something you know nothing about... or invite you to something cool... or maybe they could introduce you to a new lover... or tell you about a new opportunities... or relate to you emotionally...
